InnSight Technology, Inc Website Build

2017

InnSight Technology, Inc is a small ophthalmic device company led by an ophthalmologist and a bioengineer. The website needed a clean, innovative look and needed to offer information on their products and how to get in contact with them. As the company was a new startup, an additional goal was to create a site that could be easily maintained by the founders.

my role

I initially joined InnSight in 2016 as an industrial designer on the development of their featured product, the OcuCheck. In 2017, I continued with the company as a design researcher and graphic designer. In this capacity I created marketing materials and business cards, posters for conferences, redesigned their website, and assisted with their social media presence (Twitter and Facebook). I also attended the National Science Foundation SBIR/STTR Phase II Grantees Conference in Atlanta, GA in June 2017 with the InnSight team in a supportive role.

The solution

After initial wires and designs were approved by the client, I chose to build the website in a content management system, SquareSpace. I built the site using custom-created images, mockups of the product I helped to design, and fonts and colors that aligned to their brand strategy.
